Beryl Simon Obituary

Beryl Simon Passed away on January 21, 2019 at the age of 99. Beryl was born in Ft. Bragg, California to Raymond and Frances Pedrotti. She graduated from Ft. Bragg High School and went on to business college in Oakland. At the beginning of World War II, Beryl was Chief Clerk of the Ft. Bragg Selective Service office. She transferred to the San Rafael office in June 1945. She married Eugene Simon in October 1946. Beryl and Gene enjoyed camping with their two daughters in Yosemite, Lassen and Richardson Grove. In later years they enjoyed trips including a cruise to Alaska and trips to Europe, Hawaii, Canada and back east to Washington DC. Beryl worked in the Building Inspection Department for the County of Marin for 16 years retiring in 1979. Beryl was a past member of the First Presbyterian Church in San Rafael. She belonged to the Goldenaires and the Peacock Garden Club. She was predeceased by her sister Gladys Koskela and brother Ray Pedrotti. She is survived by her brother Donald Pedrotti (Miriam), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by husband Eugene in 1979 and daughter Deborah Gene at age 5 in 1959. She is survived by her daughter Diane of South Lake Tahoe, grandchildren Roger Kucich III (Marjorie) and Kelly Lancellotti (Charles), seven great grandchildren Roger IV, Alex, Kyle, and Riley Kucich and Giulia, Gabriella and Giada Lancellotti. Donations may be made in honor of Beryl to American Heart Association . The Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Monte's Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill Avenue, San Anselmo.
