Barbara Mary (Davis) Nann, 91, was called home by God peacefully on December 5, 2025 after a brief illness in Corte Madera. She was born November 16, 1934 in San Francisco, the oldest child of Frank and Callista Davis and sister of Shirley (Beau) and Robert (Joyce). She is survived by her husband Ray of 68 years, daughters Lori (Pat), Chris and son Tom (Laura) along with grandchildren Ryan, Stephanie and Davis.
Barbara and her family moved to Fairfax in 1948 where she eventually entered Marin Catholic High School as its first sophomore class. Shortly after, she met her lifetime love, Ray, at a Sacred Heart High School dance in San Francisco. After marrying at St. Rita’s Church in Fairfax in 1957 they moved to San Francisco where Barbara worked for Southern Pacific Railroad. They moved to Corte Madera in 1959 to start a family and have resided there ever since. Barbara then started her passion of building a wonderful, nurturing home which included hosting family visits all year long and countless card parties and dinner parties with their large contingent of family friends from their beloved Catholic parish, St. Patrick’s in Larkspur.
Barbara and Ray were blessed to experience many international trips to Europe which included many trips to Barbara and Ray’s ancestral homelands of Ireland and Germany, respectively. These trips are reflected in Barb’s extensive photo albums resulting in a huge blessing today to the younger generations to enjoy.
Barbara’s sweetest memories were the topic of conversation at her recent 91st birthday celebration with Ray and her children and grandchildren. Those memories of fun, laughter and love included Easter egg hunts, German picnics, holiday parties in San Anselmo, trying mom’s newest holiday casseroles, summer vacation trips to Redding and countless family station wagon adventures across many state lines.
Though Barbara has left her earthly body, we are at peace knowing she is in a better place as she reunites with those loved ones that went before her. Her parents Frank and Callista, sister Shirley, in-laws Simon, Elizabeth, Tanta Cia, Uncle Hiene, Frank, Nordeen, George and many life long friends. May we continue to live by her loving and caring nature until we see her again. Celebration of Life will be at 10am, January 23, 2026 at St. Patrick’s Church in Larkspur.
