Barbara Pedroncelli

Barbara Ann Wilson King Pedroncelli passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Santa Rosa Kaiser.
Barbara (Barb, Barbie) was born in Marin County, grew up in San Anselmo, and graduated from Marin Catholic High School in 1954. After graduating from Dominican College, she worked as an 8th grade teacher in Mill Valley.
Barbara met Michael (Mike) King at a St. Ann's Novena and they were married in 1961. Barbara and Mike raised five children in San Rafael until his death in 1977.
Barbara, now a widow with five children, and Robert (Bob) Pedroncelli (who also lost his wife in 1977), a widower with five children, fell in love and married in 1979, joining their two families.
Barbara and Bob knew it would be more fun and easier raising ten children together, instead of five alone! Living in this blended family was a magical, loving, and sometimes chaotic experience. Barbara and Bob lived in Novato, then Ukiah, and settled in Healdsburg in 1990, returning to the town where Bob grew up.
Barbara was the best mom, grandma, and great-grandma. As the matriarch of this large and growing family, she had unique and special relationships with all family members. From family newsletters to text greetings, Barbara helped her family feel connected and loved. If you wanted to share information, she could help you, but she could also keep a secret. Barbara was an excellent cook making cherished family recipes. She truly knew how to make a house a welcoming home, including loving our dogs and cats. Barbara enjoyed gardening, making photo albums, and other crafts. She knitted blankets and embroidered beautiful towels that family and friends will always cherish!
Barbara is remembered with so much love by the extended Ped-King Family, especially her husband of 45 years, Papa Nonno, and her children Carla (Joe), Judy (Keith), Corinne (Mike), Chris, Mark (Lori), Rick (Laura), John (Erin), Christy (Johnny), Kell (Susie), and Nora (Jeff), many grandchildren and their partners, and their children (her great grandkids!) and her dear brother David Wilson (Louise).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to St. Anthony's Dining Room in San Francisco, St. Jude's Hospital, The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society or Kaiser (Kaiser Institutional and Planned Giving).
Please join us to celebrate Barbara's life and love with a service at St. John's Catholic Church in Healdsburg at 2 pm on Sunday, October 6, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
