Barbara Jean Raffo

Barbara Jean Raffo, aged 96, passed away on October 5, 2024, in San Rafael, California. Born on July 28, 1928, Barbara was a cherished member of the Fairfax community, where she dedicated her life to her family as a full-time homemaker.  Barbara's home was always filled with the delightful aromas of her cooking, especially her famous fruit preserve jams, jellies, pies, and cobblers. Her culinary skills brought great joy to family gatherings, making every occasion memorable. In addition to her passions in the kitchen, Barbara had an adventurous spirit, having traveled extensively to many countries, including two remarkable visits to China.  Barbara was an active and devoted member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, where she found great solace and community.
She leaves behind a loving family: her sons, Steven and his wife Donni, Ronald and his wife Cheryl; her daughter, Loraine and her husband Ron; her cherished grandchildren, Haley, Sarah, Katie, and Robert; and two great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony Raffo.  A family service will be held to honor Barbara's life and legacy. Barbara's life was a testament to the love and care she bestowed on her family and all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and the sweetness of her cooking will be deeply missed.
