Nacida en San Juan, Puerto Rico el 10 de enero de 1934, Belén Campos Abella, hija de Joaquín Campos y Belén Abella, es la querida madre de Sira Padró-Campos y Ernesto Padró-Campos y suegra de Edward S. Phillips, y la adorada abuela de Sira Mariela Segarra Padró y Pedro Ernesto Segarra Padró.

Belén, madre y abuela dedicada, nos enseñó a ser fuertes, ingeniosos, amables, valientes y fieles a nosotros mismos. Vivió la vida con un profundo sentido de la ética y siempre estuvo lista para defender a los menos fuertes y a luchar por lo que era justo. Conocida por su franqueza, Belén Campos Abella es recordada por la autenticidad de su carácter, su único sentido del humor y el deleite que derivaba de la moda y del maquillaje.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 10, 1934, Belén Campos Abella, daughter of Joaquín Campos and Belén Abella, is the beloved mother of Sira Padró-Campos and Ernesto Padró-Campos and mother-in-law of Edward S. Phillips, and the adored grandmother of Sira Mariela Segarra Padró and Pedro Ernesto Segarra Padró.

A dedicated mother and grandmother, Belén taught us to be strong, resourceful, kind, courageous, and true to ourselves. She lived life with an iron-clad sense of ethics and was always at the ready to defend the underdog and to fight for fairness. Known for her direct and frank demeanor, Belén Campos Abella is remembered for her authenticity of character, her playful sense of humor, and her enjoyment of fashion and make-up.
