Caren McCarthy was deeply loved and cherished in her hometown Mill Valley and far beyond. Her generous, warm spirit and easy way made her checkout line at Whole Foods one of Mill Valley's most popular attractions. Shoppers would eschew shorter lines just to get a few minutes to chat with Caren. She was a friend to everyone, always incredibly generous with her affection and time, offering a moment of levity or just a bit of love to everyone who crossed her path. Caren brightened the day of everyone who was lucky enough to share a moment with her. She was truly a beloved Marin County personality who will be deeply missed. Caren is survived by her sister Sidney, her brother-in-law Huey, her niece Kelly and her nephew Austin.
