Craig Anderson
September 20, 1947 - November 2, 2024
Craig Anderson, born to Farrell & Scotty Anderson on September 20, 1947, in Berkeley, California, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024. A lifelong resident of Marin County, Craig was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend who dedicated his life to his family, his community, and creating memories filled with laughter and joy.
Craig grew up in Marin, graduating from Terra Linda High School before attending San Francisco State University. He went on to earn his master’s degree in clinical psychology and then built a successful career in the tile industry.
Known for his authenticity and independent spirit, Craig lived life his way, embracing every moment with humor and an open heart. He is survived by his son, Scot Anderson; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Anderson; grandsons, Caden and Jace; his sister, Susan Jurkowski and her husband, Ed; and nephew, Justin. Craig’s family extended to those close to him by marriage, including Judy Anderson, Wendy, Scott, Debbie, Brooke, Ryan, and Jon Younkin, all of whom he loved deeply. His family brought him great joy, and he will be remembered for the warmth, love, and laughter he brought into their lives.
Craig was a proud cancer survivor who dedicated his time to Relay for Life, championing hope and research for a cure. An active member of the Novato Rotary, he served his community with the same joy and generosity he brought to every facet of his life.
A lover of golf, good times, and lasting friendships, Craig was happiest surrounded by the people he cared for, sharing laughs and creating unforgettable memories. His presence, humor, and genuine spirit touched everyone he met, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at the Jonas Center on the Indian Valley College Campus, 1800 Ignacio Blvd, Building 19, Novato, CA 94949, on November 26 at 1:00 p.m.
