Daniel Dufficy Daniel Calhoun Dufficy, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 24th 2018 surrounded by family and friends. Dan is survived by his sons Daniel (Rachel), and Ryan, brothers Rafael and Robert, sisters Kathleen and Meg, and many, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dan was a fourth generation San Rafael resident, a graduate of Marin Catholic High School, member of the US Army and a graduate of Seattle University. He was a member and past president of the Rotary Club of San Rafael. He was most proud of having served for years on the Scholarship Committee for the Club. In the early 1960's, Dan opened Marin Pacific Company Inc., and rare was the day that he could not be found there. Dan's life was rich in experience, beginning with being a fire lookout on Mt. Tam, helping set up communications lines in Colombia, his participation with the Rotary medical clinics and his volunteer work with various charities in San Rafael. Throughout his life, Dan was an avid ham radio operator with extensive self-taught knowledge of electronics and radios in particular. He was a world traveler and an accomplished skier and scuba diver. Family and friends are invited to attend the Rosary at 5:00pm, January 7th, 2019 at St. Raphael's Mission.
