Darien McKay-Reece Obituary

It is with unimaginable sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of Darien Alexander McKay on December 9th, 2025 at the age of 30. Darien was born on December 29th, 1994 in Petaluma, Ca, and grew up surrounded by love.

Darien was a gifted athlete who had a passion for football and basketball. He graduated from Novato High School in 2013 and served our country in the United States Marine Corp as a Motor T operator graduating from Camp Pendleton in 2016, and stationed in Kaneohe Bay HI for the duration of his service. Darien was assistant coach for the Redwood High School Freshman football team for the past two seasons and had a strong passion for the success of the team and was proud of each and every player on the team. Most importantly, Darien became a father in 2023 to his pride and joy Mila McKay who meant everything to him.

Darien is survived by his parents Billy Marvin Johnson Jr. and Lillian St.Clair McKay, his daughter Mila Ravetti McKay, his sister Leilani Amanda Dean Harris, his brother Deandre Lamonte Green, his sister Stacy Johnson, and an extended family who deeply loved him.

Darien will be remembered as a kind and loving person. He was always the first one to help out or lend a listening ear. Darien will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

Darien’s memorial service will be held January 11th, 2026, 1pm at Montes Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill Ave. San Anselmo, Ca 94960
