Edith Elaine Sorensen, 58, of Fairfax, CA, passed away on August 25, 2025, in her home.
Edie was born in Seattle, WA on May 14, 1967. The daughter of a naval officer, Edie was proud to have lived in international locations during her childhood, including Iceland and Germany. It informed and colored her love of travel that she’s passed on to her kids.
Edie graduated from McLean High School in McLean, VA in 1985; and has a bachelor’s degrees from George Mason University and Virginia Commonwealth University. Her profession was as a Geriatric Care Manager in Marin County, CA.
Edie was married to Dan Sorensen from 2002 to 2017, and they had two beautiful children, Sophie Rae (22) and Charlie Muir (17). She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Mary Schultz, and her elder brother Milton Schultz III; and survived by her children Sophie and Charlie, her siblings Olinda, Christine, and Peter, and many loving and devoted friends.
The Celebration of Edie’s Life will be held on November 3, 2025, at Deer Park Villa, Fairfax, CA.
The family of Edith Sorensen wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Sutter Care at Home (hospice), the Cancer Center at UCSF, and all the beautiful friends who provided Edie their love and care.
