Greg left us unexpectedly on February 16 to join his dad and loved ones who have gone before him. He was just fifty years old. Too soon. At age eight, Greg, his dad Burt (Heaven) and his mom Katja (Greenbrae) came to San Francisco from Chicago where he was born. He was enrolled at Stuart Hall, on to Redwood High School and then became a proud graduate of University of Oregon. "Once a Duck, Always a Duck" he would say. After graduation, Greg joined his father Burt in the family wine business in which he worked after his father's passing in 2000. He eventually sold the business and became a broker of premium wines and continued a career in wine and hospitality sales. He loved engaging with the public and was good at it. Friendly, likable and genuine. Always brought a lot to the table. Now sitting at the table without him are his wife Paring, his adoring and loving mother Katja, Aunt Goethe and Uncle Fredrick of Norway, Uncle Geir and family in Oakland, and sisters Deborah and Laurie. We raise our glasses to you. Hvil i fred Greg. A gathering in Greg's memory will be on Saturday, March 4, One O'Clock, Monte's Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill Avenue, San Anselmo, CA.
