Guy Michael Waltz, II passed away Friday, March 7, 2025; at the age of 46.
Guy was born in Metairie, Louisiana, 20 minutes from New Orleans. He moved to Boulder, Colorado with his mother for 12 years after which time he moved to the Bay Area, where he and his mother settled in Marin County, CA for the next 27 years. In late 2018 Guy and his family moved back to Boulder, CO and lived there for the past 6 years until his passing.
Guy is survived by his mother, Cynthia Kass Waltz, his Step-father, Thierry Jackson, his half-sister, Lori Waltz Strahan, his father Gui Waltz and step-mother, Sara Waltz. He is also survived by his many loving aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins who loved him dearly.
Guy attended Columbine Elementary, Eisenhower Middle school & Burbank Jr. High in Boulder, Colorado. He loved his mother and family, enjoyed music, biking, rollerblading, football and basketball, Nintendo/Gameboy and was also an AVID COMIC BOOK COLLECTOR. After moving to California, Guy made many friends and graduated from Terra Linda High. In late 2018 Guy and his family moved back to Boulder, Colorado where he grew up as a child.
Guy worked a few jobs after high school and climbed up the ladder quickly from a clerk to an Assistant manager at a young age. Guy also developed (5) U.S. government patents on the books and never gave up inventing new consumer products. He was an intelligent, handsome, witty and a kind young man who enjoyed engaging conversations with others. He once saved a baby chickadee bird that fell out of the tree and brought it to Wildlife Care in San Rafael who cared for the bird until it was rehabilitated and called Guy to let him know they set it free. Guy was a kind and generous person who’d give the shirt off his back sometimes to a fault.
Though he struggled with Co-occurring disorder for many years, with proper treatment and support from a loving mother who never gave up on him, a step-father who cared about him, therapy and evidence-based programs he overcame many of his battles.
Guy was a beautiful person who had many dreams to live out, unfortunately his life was taken too soon. He was an undeniable believer of Christ and will forever be a child of God and forever in our hearts.
