Harriett Marie Castellani was born on March 16, 1928, and passed away on April 1, 2023, at 95 years of age surrounded by her family. Harriett was born and raised in San Anselmo. She was the baby of the family and is predeceased by her brother, Charles Clearihue, and sister, Cornelia Clearihue. She attended Main School in San Anselmo and Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley. Harriett was a member of the Drill Team, the Social Service Auxiliary, and the Volunteers of Nazareth House. She made lifelong friends from her days in the drill team and shared wonderful stories of her escapades. Harriett worked for the Phone Company in San Francisco; as a records clerks at San Quentin State Prison; as a Coder for Fair Isaac Company and as an Administrative Assistant for State Farm Insurance Company. She married Louis Castellani on February 27, 1949. Together they had two children, Lynn and Charlie, whom they raised in a warm and loving home in Terra Linda, which they purchased brand new in 1954. Harriett and Louie loved to travel and took many trips to Italy and Hawaii. Harriett was predeceased by Louie (2001) and is survived by her daughter Lynn (Bruce Cole), son Charlie (Sonia) and grandchildren Kristen (Ryan McGraw), Amber, Michael (Heather), CJ (Jen), Jaclyn (Morgan Kiehl) and Anthony (Janae), ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mom was a strong and safe presence in our lives. She is missed and loved beyond measure. Services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11:00 am at Monte’s Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill Ave, San Anselmo, CA.
