Joan Jones

Joan Jones, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. She was born June 6, 1931 to John and Ethyl Wills. She was a dedicated wife and soul mate to Bruce Jones of 59 years, (passed in 2016) and missed him dearly in her final years.  Joan was an outstanding mother to son Chris (Kit), daughter-in-law Mary, son Matt, daughter in law Cindi, and was preceded in death by her two younger sons Bart, Tim, and grandson Anthony.  She was survived by her youngest brother Kit whom she loved and adored. Joan was loved deeply by her grandchildren Nicole (Kevin), Brittany (Patrick), Shana (Carlos), Tanner (Sahana), and Desiree. She was adored by her great grandchildren Isaiah, Olivia, Landon, Frankie, and Kennedy. Joan will always be remembered as a charming, affectionate, outgoing, and generous person by her friends and family. She was an exceptional pianist and had a passion for crossword puzzles.  She loved life and brought so much joy to those around her. A celebration of life will be held at Monte's Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill Avenue, San Anselmo, Saturday, January 6, 2023 at 9:30am followed by a gathering at Deer Park Villa at 367 Bolinas Road, Fairfax. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Bart and Tim Scholarship at Archie Williams Highschool in San Anselmo. The family appreciates the love and support during this difficult time and invites friends and acquaintances to join in celebrating Joan's remarkable life.
