Ksenia Nicole Stone
September 17, 1989 - October 7, 2024
Ksenia Nicole Stone, a loving daughter, sister, and friend, passed away suddenly on October 7, 2024, at her home in Corte Madera, California. She was 35 years old.
Ksenia was a beautiful soul—gracious, compassionate, and kind—who touched the lives of all who knew her. Born in Russia, she emigrated with her mother, Anna, to California at the age of four.
In 2004, Ksenia and her mother moved to Marin County, where Anna married David Stone, joining the Stone family. This past September, Anna and David celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.
Ksenia’s formative years were spent in the Bay Area, where she attended St. Justin School, Archbishop Mitty, and graduated from Redwood High School. Ksenia pursued higher education at San Francisco State University, where she majored in Broadcasting and minored in English. Fluent in both Russian and English, she was a gifted writer with a deep passion for storytelling. Her ability to express herself eloquently in both languages reflected her deep love of words and creativity.
Ksenia was a dreamer with a zest for life. She had an unwavering affection for animals, and cherished her cat, Minxy, who will forever remain a part of the family. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed attending games, and had a particular fondness for skiing at the family resort in Deer Valley, Utah. Family vacations to Tahoe, Hawaii, Mexico, and various other destinations held a special place in her heart, but it was the weekend getaways with her parents, Anna and David, that Ksenia cherished most. Together, they explored the natural beauty of California’s coastline and shared a love of the ocean that deepened their bond.
Above all, Ksenia’s family was her greatest source of joy. She is survived by her parents, David and Anna Stone; her brother, Logan Stone; her sister, Pia Klausen; her sister-in-law, Laura Stone; her nephews, Kristian and Tyler Klausen; her nieces, Courtney Klausen and Lola Stone, as well as her grandfather, Vladimir.
