Maureen Ann Colombo Whitney, born February 4, 1941, in San Rafael, CA. She passed away at the age of 85 on February 27, 2026 at her home in San Anselmo, which she loved so much. Her husband, Don Whitney, passed away in 2008.
She was the loving daughter of Martha and Al Colombo and sister of Melvin Colombo. She leaves behind Melvin's wife, Thelmo, and their two sons Dino and Danny. She also leaves behind two stepchildren, Kimberly and Todd, Todd's wife Shannon, and grandson Donavon, and several cousins.
She was an Aunt in spirit to so many, and beloved by her wonderful neighbors of many years. She will be missed by her longtime friend and companion, Eddie Demaestri. She will now join her very best friend, Carol Nicolini. They were inseparable in live, and they will be dancing in heaven.
She will be remembered for her love of cats and antique dolls. She always had a smile for everyone. She was a petite woman, but a big personality. She was beautiful inside and out.
Friends and family are cordially invited to attend service at St. Sebastian Church at 373 Bon Air Rd in Greenbrae, CA 94904 at 11am on Friday March 20, 2026.
