With aching hearts, we notify you of the passing of our beloved son, Michael, due to recurring complications suffered from a motorcycle accident 8 months earlier.

Michael was born in New York City to Val and Marve Balazki (ne Paimre) on Jan 9, 1969.  In 1972 his family moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where Michael started school and in 1975 moved to Marin County in California. Michael attended grammar school in Lucas Valley, graduated from Terra Linda HS and attended Chico State University.

Michael worked in electronic component manufacturing, but most of his work experience was in sales.  He considered himself to be a master negotiator. Eventually he was self-employed specializing in refurbishing electric guitars.

 Although creating life-long friends in Marin, his true love was Petaluma where he lived for the remainder of his years. His real passion was music and he pursued his musical talents playing bass guitar with many musicians on various projects in both live and studio situations.  He honed his sales skills, made true friends and enjoyed the atmosphere and variety that Petaluma offered.

Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, his generous nature, his friendly smile, his love of family, our country, animals, and his love of life.

He is survived by parents Val & Marve, younger brother Gregory (and partner Mario Ortega), cousin Jason Savisaar & family (Buffy, Meghan, Wyatt), his god-daughter Mallory and a host of friends who loved him and will truly miss him.
