Mimi Bennetts Obituary

Mimi Lister Bennetts was born on October 4, 1949 in Wastonville, CA. She departed this world on March 7, 2026 in San Anselmo, CA.

She spent her younger years in Wastonville through grammar school and high school. After high school, she attended Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA. After attending Cabrillo College, she enrolled in the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Conservatory of Music. In college, she played nine different instruments. Her favorite was the flute.

She moved to Marin County in 1974, where she worked for a short time at the Well’s Fargo bank in San Rafael. In 1975, she married George Bennetts and became a homemaker. She has lived in San Anselmo since that time. In 1992, George and Mimi were blessed with their son, Andrew.

She loved gardening and taking care of her roses.

She is survived by her husband, George Bennetts, her son, Andrew Bennetts, and her sister, Mary Lou Gould, of Lakeville, Oregon.

All are welcome to attend a funeral service in Mimi’s honor on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 11am at St. Sebastian’s Church in Greenbrae.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Sebastian’s Church in Greenbrae.
