Molly Bernard Obituary
Molly Liston Bernard was born in Kentfield, California on August 25,1964. She was the first child of Jane and Thomas Liston. She was followed by siblings, Brian, Brendan, and Daniel Liston. The family resided in San Rafael. Molly was a very active person her entire life. She was in ballet (Marin Ballet) and swimming (San Rafael Racquet Club) prior to attending San Rafael High School where she was on the track team, a cheer leader, and violinist in the Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra. She attended San Diego State University and married Jeffrey Podemski. Their daughter Lindsey was born in 1987 in Atlanta, Georgia. They moved to Vallejo, California where they were involved in ministry in their church providing care for the homeless. She was later married to Joseph Bernard. She was employed as a care giver for 20 years as well as being a certified physical trainer. She was deeply spiritual and loved to help others. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, welcoming arms, and loving heart. In addition to her siblings, she is survived by her parents, her daughter Lindsey (Richard) Joaquin, grandchildren (Lily and Bryce Joaquin) and nephews (Cole, Hudson, and Finn Liston), her sisters in law (Sandra and Beth Liston) and her aunts Nora Clarkin, Barbara Fitzgerald, and Yvonne Grosulak.A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2023 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1104 5th Avenue, San Rafael. Viewing will be prior from 10am -11am. May Molly Rest in Peace.Assisted by Monte's Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo.
