After marrying, they moved to Salinas for approximately 5 years in the mid 1960s.  During this time, Pattie was a pillar in her town and actively involved in community organizing. She and Richard had their first child, Lisa, while there in 1967.

They moved to Pleasanton, California and had their second daughter, Lynette, in 1970.  Pleasanton was her home for 30 years, where she had an full social life, playing bridge and having potlucks with her neighbors.  She was actively involved in her children’s school and their extracurricular activities.  Returning to her love for tennis, she played in a local doubles partners tennis league and expanded her athleticism by learning how to play golf, playing  world renowned golf clubs.  She became part of a successful investment club, enjoyed extensive gardening, and loved interior design, eventually spending some time working for an interior designer. Later, and for approximately 20 of her years in Pleasanton, she worked as the office manager for the local orthodontist . If you had braces, you knew Pattie.

She met her second husband, Bill Coble, in 1988 and they were happily married until his passing in June 2022.  They retired to Mi Wuk, California in 1998 and became active in the community.  They enjoyed hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, and adventuring with their families.

Pattie had an infectious laugh, a huge smile,  and a love for  wearing anything that had sparkles and pizzazz.  Her holiday décor and dining tables were always special and gorgeous.  She could have started a professional business, but instead just embraced the pleasure of her family enjoying her decorative creations.
