Robert Jump

Obituary

Robert Jump

Bob was a ray of light in so many ways...his thoughtfulness for others, his sense of humor, his love of life and all that it entails. He spent many years working for the San Francisco Water Dept. and when he retired, he was able to spend more time doing all the things he loved best. He truly made the most of every minute of each day. A gifted artist and an accomplished dirt bike rider, Bob could often be found riding at the Marin Motorcycle Club or at Carnegie. For Bob, it was about the experience of being outdoors and in nature that was most meaningful. Bob loved the simple pleasures of life most of all, hanging out with family and friends, listening to music, going to concerts, going for walks, painting, and playing with Oscar and all of the other family dogs over the years. His positive nature and optimism had a way of lifting the spirits of those around him. He graduated from Redwood High School and San Francisco State University.
Bob is survived by his beloved sister Tricia, his niece Michaela, and his best friend and soulmate Camilla. He was pre-deceased by his loving parents Clarence and Giuliana, and his adoring brother Steven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to autos-for-animals.org (Northern California) or Blue Ribbon Coalition. Funeral Mass will be held on Sat. Sept. 23 at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church in Larkspur.
