Valerie DelRio Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Valerie DelRio. She was 68 years old. She was born and raised in San Francisco and spent the last 45 years living in Marin. Valerie is survived by her brother Gerald, her daughters Nicole and Michelle, her son Dominic, and her four grandchildren Marc, JR, Heidi and Cora. Valerie was called to a nursing career at an early age and spent almost 40 years dedicating herself to her work at St Luke's Hospital (now CPMC) as an ICU, ER and PACU RN.
She cherished her time serving the underprivileged community at St. Luke's
in the Mission District of San Francisco as well as the friendships she made with her colleagues.
Valerie had so much love. She had unwavering energy that allowed her to accomplish so much. From working night shifts to leading girl scouts and coaching volleyball teams, she truly touched the lives of all those around her.
Valerie's children and grandchildren were her greatest source of pride and joy and cherished memories of Lake Tahoe and family vacations will remain with us.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick's Church in Larkspur, CA. on January 30, 2023 at 1 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at St. Patrick's reception hall.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating for a memorial bench to be constructed in her name somewhere in Corte Madera or Lake Tahoe.
