Walter William Provines

Walter William Provines, loving Brother, Son, Uncle and Friend, passed away at his home Sunday, December 8th.  Walter lived in Marin County all of his 77 years, residing in Mill Valley before moving to Novato with his father, Bill Provines.  Walter's life was devoted to service - through his 30 year career at the Mill Valley Public Library, his caring for his grandmothers as a boy and his mother, two aunts, and father as an adult. A devout Catholic, Walter served the parishes of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and St. Anthony of Padua.  Walter was also a gifted pianist, a collector of classical music, and lover of many happy cats over his lifetime.  He is survived by his sister Ginny Johnson, sister-in-law Kathy Provines and nieces and nephews, Judy Gum, Renee Campbell, Rob Provines and their families.  Predeceased by parents Bill and Edy Provines and brother Douglas.  A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Saturday December 14th at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Novato.
